Mentors for Academic and Peer Support at UCLA

MAPS is one of seven unique college outreach project housed in Student Initiated Access Center, dedicated to improve youth education in Los Angeles.

Under the guiding principals of educational equity and inter-community activism, MAPS was founded by the MSA at UCLA in 2000.

The project takes an active role in improving U.S schooling system. MAPS provides college counseling and academic development as well as critical discussions and field trips.

MAPS sites for 2012-2013 are David Starr Jordan High School and LA School of Global Studies

Our office is located in the Student Activities Center at UCLA.
