Muslim Green Team

The Muslim Green Team at UCLA (MGT) was founded in 2011 by Muslim students who strongly believe that the Islamic faith can inspire and provide solutions to address many of the environmental issues the world is facing today.

Our team's primary mission is to educate students on campus on how to live a more environmentally-conscious life. We plan to provide resources (such as reusable water bottles, tote bags, etc.) to students and to host educational events on environmental concerns our communities should be addressing.

Winter 2012 Water Campaign

This quarter, our team is focusing on addressing issues related to water. It is our intention also to distribute approximately 175 reusable water bottles to our Muslim students on campus by this quarter. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for event details!

Event Consulting and Advising

Events generally produce a lot of waste. Simple green planning can go a long way in diverting waste from accumulating in landfills. Our green team is willing to provide consulting for an event you or your organization are planning. We can be reached at mgtucla@gmail.com
